Aliya
The Workshop
Aliya
Our Teachers Resource Guide will have questions for the class to respond to. For example: Where is Israel placed in your Judaism?
Below are some examples of what students created in previous workshops
Movie – Escape to Reality
Story of an American Jew escaping from the law. He decides to make aliya and finds himself on a kibbutz. He has no interest in Israel, but through the process meets new friends and discovers that he feels more at home and decides to stay. Contrast this story with an Israeli (with no connection to his heritage)who wants to make it in LA. He has fun at 1st but then has a few anti-Semitic experiences and begins to realize that there is something different about being Jewish. He is happy to return home where he forms a new international cinema with a great new talent he discovers one day – none other than the escaped convict.
