Religion
Our Teachers Resource Guide will have questions for the class to respond to. For example questions, doubts,complaints, and benefits of religion and observance. We will inspire creative outlets for religious experience. The students will be free to ‘Show me your Judaism and I’ll show you mine’.
Below are some examples of what students created in previous workshops
Religious Game shows:
Dating game – Gila asks questions to Binyamin, Chris, and Takimoto – they all seem nice, what questions will determine her date?
Talmud Twister – Guess the Talmud twister – the answer is never what it seems
Jewish Squares – Tic Tac Toe with Jewish figures – Each Jewish figure must answer the question correctly from the opposing contestants.
Let’s make a deal – Research famous ‘big’ decisions in Jewish history
Religion Debate: Oprah – debate w atheist, Israeli, orthodox Jew, question from audience by a caterer

Jerusalem 2500 – after construction of the 3rd temple…
The Awakening
Sci-fi – In the year 800BC a superior intelligence appeared to a tribe of people in the middle of the dessert – something was implanted in each one of them and now in the year 2010 the seed has sprouted – and communicating to them once again…coming soon…to a theatre near you – The Awakening
Planet of the Priests or The Chosen – In the year 2566 – two astronauts discover a new planet that has a tribe of scholars and priests that are its leaders. They take the astronauts on a tour of their history – and the utopian society that they now live in. Students must research the torah and find ways to describe this utopian society, agriculture, law, marriage, justice, etc
Modern Idols – a modern day person named Abraham re-experiences themes events and places strangely similar to the original Abraham. Story can be re-written for other famous or Biblical characters – in the end there is some epiphany. Students must research their character and find ways to juxtapose past and present events
Religious Super Heroes –
Book Boy – with the power to memorize things instantly, Intuitive Girl – who’s intuition works better than radar – Magic Staff – with his transforming staff he opens waterways and also boils water for coffee – Levi – with his magic breastplate that lights up he can decipher codes and people who are telling lies- Generous man – he has the power to make even the angriest person smile and sit down for tea and forget why they were mad, fighting the villains Man in White (Lavan) who appears always to be good but is always pulling tricks, Red Man (Esav) or also known as Harry – his hand shake kills, he also has a scream that makes earthquakes, and working for him is Fashion Sense who has the power to make people feel so uncool that they get embarrassed, and Guilt Girl who radiates guilt rays to stop the super heroes from the purpose of their mission….
Chapter 23 – The stolen Talit! Someone stole the talit from the kohen gadol and is wearing it and getting rich from its magic powers. The heroes must redeem it from the den of darkness and restore it to the Temple. The big confrontation scene occurs at the club called – The Golden Calf

Comin Down the Mountain – Music video with Moshe coming down the mountain rapping the Torah. The Israelites join in with the chorus – naase ve nishma (we will do it and we will hear it).
Chronicles: Live from Ancient Israel
CNN: (Canaanite National News) Pick a theme, character or story from Tanach and produce it like a modern news show (must do research using the Chronicles book – see pics on right).
